Jackie is more than just a speech therapist - she's become one of the most integral team members in my brother's recovery since his stroke in 2017. Jackie has been able to connect with my brother on a level not accomplished by many and continues to keep him motivated to fight for getting his words back! Not only does she care about her patient, but she cares about the entire family unit and incorporates all of us into therapy sessions. Helping a loved one navigate aphasia is no easy feat, but thanks to Jackie's guidance and expertise, my brother can now express himself and communicate more effectively than we ever thought was possible.

Jackie has been a game changer in the pace and scope of my husband's recovery from a hemorrhagic stroke, which left him non-verbal and paralyzed on one side.   After six months in two top tier inpatient facilities, I thought I knew what the gold standard in speech therapy looked and felt like.  Jackie provided a thorough evaluation and mapped out a plan to address his issues, which included swallowing, cognition, and communication.  Within four months, after multiple swallow studies and her close collaboration with our home health care aides, my husband was advanced off the feeding tube and onto a pureed diet and shortly thereafter, solid foods.  My husband has both aphasia and apraxia and we were told he would not speak as a result. Today, two years later, and as a direct result of this highly qualified, all heart speech therapist, he has the ability to speak and write words and short phrases.  Jackie gave him back his ability to communicate basic needs when others told us he’d never speak again.  To hear him tell me “I love you" well, leaves me speechless.  Her methodology, dedication, and huge heart make her the gold standard.  The way she engages and motivates the patient, family, and caregivers brings amazing results.
